Here's a montage of driving out on the ice.
In 2008 students and faculty from the Thayer School and researchers with the U.S. Army Cold Regions Research & Engineering Laboratory designed and fabricated Yeti, an autonomous robot for Ground Penetrating Radar surveys in Antarctica. The design and fabrication was funded by NASA JPL. With support from the National Science Foundation, Yeti has been deployed to Greenland and Antarctica. Yetis sister, the solar-powered Cool Robot, has a blog at coolrobotgreenland2013.blogspot.com

Awesome! Must be gratifying to see Yeti performing so well.
